While we are still enjoying the 2.4 version of Genshin Impact, the next patch is already scheduled for February 16. Named “When the Sakura Blooms”, it’s taking us to the dungeons under Enkanomiya and introduces at least one new character. In addition, it broadens the creative possibilities for players who want to be more creative.

The highlight of the trailer that miHoYo released ahead of the update shows spectacular scenes around the glowing tower in the dark. The patch features an event named “Three Realms Gateway Offerings”, where players will obtain a new item to keep themselves clean enough to resist the dirt and destruction the evil powers bring. It also exploits the Japanese origin of Inazuma where Enkanomiya is: Sakura, kitsunes, castle halls, swords, and stuff are there in abundance.

The most expected addition to the game, though, is a new character. It’s a five-star mage Yae Miko you can unlock at this level. She strikes lightning from afar which makes her a great long-distance fighter. As for another character teased by miHoYo, Kamisato Ayato, a Hydro swordsman with a long water katana, he may appear in this patch or keep the players waiting until the next one.

What seems the most interesting about the new patch, though, is neither an event nor a character. It’s a built-in editor that allows players to create their own dungeons with traps and set up the conditions of completion. In fact, it’s a mini-game builder, a sort of Mario Maker within Genshin Impact. With it, players can create their own tests for their friends, and maybe if they get popular, go further through in-game stores.

Are you one of those playing Genshin Impact to follow the storyline? What do you expect from the upcoming patch? Is there a place for Yae Miko in your team? Let’s discuss the potentially great update in the comment!
